Travel retail is Clogau's fastest growing market. In 2011 our international business increased by 331% up on the previous year and 2012 is promising to be even bigger.

Royal Jubilee will be our focus in 2012

Last year the focus of our efforts surrounded the Royal wedding in April but this year with the diamond jubilee celebrations happening in June we have had more time to prepare and the whole company has pulled through to produce excellence in every department from product design to customer service to marketing and sales. The results have been impressive.

A raft of new designs with the Royal Jubilee in mind have been produced each with its own Royal related story and created in association with Historic Royal Palaces Enterprises, an independent charity that looks after five of London’s Royal palaces.

Come the time of the Royal Jubilee one or more of these designs will appear in the in-flight brochures of more than eight major international airlines and on the cruise ships and airport shops in which Clogau is listed. Along with the new listings will be the new advertising which will take Clogau to a new level. These will start to appear very shortly in 2012.

A new brand ambassador, former Royal harpist Claire Jones

We also have a new brand ambassador for Clogau in the celebrated Welsh harpist Claire Jones.

This is a marriage made in heaven. Claire was the official royal harpist to Prince Charles and performed at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

On top of a busy Worldwide tour Claire will take time to perform at certain Clogau events during the year and is sure to be quite a spectacle with her golden Salvi harp and fabulous playing.

I would also like to introduce the latest addition to our international team. Artemis Kouroupaki came to us from Follie Follie at the end of last year and has already made an impact with her wonderful eye for detail and many contacts in the industry. She will be a great asset to us on many levels this year and others to come.
